Yes — it's the whole point. Every story is written to be calm and bedtime-appropriate, then checked by a separate AI safety reviewer for the child's exact age before it's ever sent. You can list anything to avoid, and stories only ever go to you, never straight to your child.
No — and by design, they can't. There is no chat box and no way for a child to type or say anything to the AI. Every story is written ahead of time and sent only to you. Your child simply reads it with you and, in interactive stories, picks between choices already written into that night's tale. At no point does a child interact with, prompt, or influence an AI model. There is no path for a child to reach one.
On higher tiers, some nights the story branches. Every possible path is written and safety-checked in advance, as part of that same night's story — so choosing is just picking which ready-made path to follow next. Your child taps their choice, or in hands-free read-aloud mode says it out loud and the app matches the words to one of the options on screen. That matching is simple word-spotting done inside the app, not an AI: nothing your child says prompts a model, writes anything, or changes the story beyond selecting a path that was already there. If no clear answer comes, the story just gently carries on by itself.
No. Voice answers are optional — everything works by tapping, and voice is only on if you switch it on. When it is on, the app listens for just a moment at each choice, only to match your child's words to an option already on the screen. It's plain word-matching inside the app, not an AI — nothing your child says is used to write stories or sent to our story AI, and we never record or keep any audio. (The spoken words are turned into text by the same built-in speech feature your phone or browser uses for voice typing.)
