Build a profile, together
Best done side by side at the sofa. Add your child's first name and age, the things they love, whether they should be the hero, and who else should appear — a grandparent, a best friend, a favourite toy. Tell us anything to avoid, too, like spiders or storms.
We write a new story every night
Each evening Talefern writes a brand-new bedtime tale starring your child, shaped by their profile and the stories that came before — so the world grows with them. Never the same story twice.
Every story is checked before it's sent
Before a story reaches you, a separate AI reviewer checks that it suits your child's age and has nothing in it from your avoid-list. If it doesn't pass, it's rewritten and checked again. If it still doesn't pass, we don't send it — your Story Hub will say so, and a fresh story is written the next night.
Ready at bedtime
The story is waiting at the time you choose. Read it aloud together, or let your child follow along on screen. On higher tiers, they can steer where tomorrow's tale goes.
Safe, and parent-first
- ✓We ask for a first name and a birth month and year — never a surname or a full date of birth.
- ✓Photos are optional. If you add one so we can draw a cartoon character, we don't keep the photo — only the cartoon.
- ✓Only grown-ups can set up a profile: you, or a caregiver you've given full access.
- ✓Every story passes an age-appropriateness and avoid-list check before delivery.
- ✓Edit a child's profile, or delete the child and all their stories, at any time.
- ✓Stories are deleted once they're older than your current plan keeps them: 7 days on the free trial and Storyteller, 30 days on Adventurer and a year on Dream Weaver.
- ✓A story you've upgraded with Story Stars is kept until a year after its date.
